Country
The geographic area for the AOC label is made upof the five Norman departments. This region is known for its temperate climate, but also for its rich and green pastures.

Article 1 of the Decree of December 26th, 1986 relative to the AOC label "Camembert de Normandie ".

Art. 1 - The AOC label " Camembert de Normandie " is reserved for cheeses for which the milk production and delivery, the manufacturing and the maturing comply with legal requirements and local habits in a constant and trustworthy manner.
The milk used for the manufacturing of the cheeses must be produced in one of the following five departments: Calvados, Eure, Manche, Orne and Seine Maritime.
The cheeses which can be sold under this label must have been manufactured, matured and packaged by cheesemakers also located in this geographic area.

The healthy and beautiful Norman cows graze on natural pastures, and produce a quality milk known for its high fat and protein content.
This great livestock together with incomparable pastures make possible the production of high quality products.
