The product features and art.
It is a round soft cheese, with a
mouldy rind, weighing at least 250 grams, whit a fat content
superior to 45% and always packaged in wooden box.
At sight, it is possible to see under the white mould the lightly
grooved and red colored surface. At touching, the paste is fluid
and creamy. It has a "country" smell, and a lightly
spiced and fruity flavour. |

As all kinds of cheeses, the AOC "Camembert
de Normandie" is a whole food, rich in proteins. It contains
different kinds of vitamins ( A1, B1, B2, B12 and C), as well
as many mineral salts (mainly calcium and phosphorus).

An AOC "Camembert de Normandie"
(250g) has about 750 to 800 calories. One portion (1/8 of the
camembert) therefore has about 90 calories.

An AOC "Camembert de Normandie"
shall not be treated as just another cheese.
Take it out from the fridge at least one hour before serving
and serve it at room temperature, with a good aromatic and fruity
wine, not too vigourous nor too young.
Some will like it with a Burgundy wine, a Volnay, Savigny-les-Beaune,
others will prefer it with a Bordeaux, Saint Emilion or Côtes
de Bourg.
The most "Norman" of you will appreciate
it with dry cider.

note its delicate "terroir" smell, its fine aromatic
bouquet, and its spicy and fruity flavour.
