Emilie Mofras, born in 1850, married Louis Lanquetot who was issued from a family established near Isigny.
Some years after, she leads the dairy in Saint Martin de Bienfaite. In 1890, the family founds a general partnership under the names of Mrs LANQUETOT and her son Charles LANQUETOT.
The objective of this company located in Saint Martin de Bienfaite was to produce foodstuffs issued from the milk (butter, cheese, etc)
Maurice Lanquetot, the second son of Emilie, joins the company in 1905. At this date the company changes its name and is called " Veuve Lanquetot et Fils et Cie ".
So is born the great history of one of the biggest cheesemakers family in the Pays d'Auge.

Charles and Maurice Lanquetot found in 1909 the Union for the protection of the real " Camembert de Normandie " (SVCN).The growth continues after the first World War. In 1944, 35000 Camembert are produced each day. The grand children of Emilie, Roger and Pierre continue to lead the dairy. They become the first cheesemakers of the Pays d'Auge in terms of production.

In 1976, Pierre Lanquetot continues the production in the traditional way (matured ladle moulded Camembert made of raw milk). This product is sold with success through mass marketing stores. Lanquetot will also be the first to propose on the market a Camembert in pyrographied box (" La Ferme d'Antignac ").

In 1988, Lanquetot's production reaches 70000 cheeses per day. The firm is then acquired by another cheesemaker, Bridel, which will continue the story of an hundred years old successful family estate.
