Tél : 02.31.63.04.04 - Fax : 02.31.63.86.96 Dear Madam, dear Sir, The cheese dairy of "DOMAINE DE SAINT LOUP" makes a traditional AOC (label of guaranteeing origin) camembert from Pays d'Auge in Normandy, for consumers who enjoy their food and don't view meal without a carefully selected camembert in order to bring it out all the flavour and aroma. The workshop is situated in the heart of Pays d'Auge, in the little village of Saint Loup de Fribois, along the edge of CD16 (road) next to Crevecoeur en Auge, not far from Lisieux, Pont l'Evêque and Livarot. Built by the river "La Vie" (which springs up not far from the village of Camembert) this old mill has been converted into a flax mill factory since 1860, then reconverted at the end of 19th century into a camembert factory by Mr LEBRET, Marie HAREL's great grandson, creator of that famous cheese. Since 1908, the date of its resumption by the SAFFREY brothers, the making has been maintained without discontinuity, doing of this cheese dairy the only one having belonged to descendants of Marie HAREL and always in activity. Our milk collection is made locally so we
use a high quality raw material. The manufacture using milk straight from the
cow (unpasteurized) is done in accordance with traditional methods
